Chandler Unified School District extends opportunities to our students who may need an alternative environment and methods of learning. The mission of the Chandler Alternative program is to provide opportunities for students to be supported in a smaller environment and instructed using alternative methods. In the Chandler Alternative program all student focus is on achievement and goal attainment. Students contract their goals be further studies beyond high school graduation, or the opportunity to successfully return to their home school to graduate, Chandler Alternative meets the needs of all learners.
Middle Level Program is designed for students:
- As an alternative to expulsion or long term suspension
- Whose behaviors have rendered them incompatible with regular school attendance
- Who are constant truants or absentees
- Who are over-aged for assigned grade level but have academic potential
- Seeking a smaller non-traditional learning environment
Secondary Program is designed for students:
- Who are behind in credits
- Who enroll too late for the regular school setting
- Who desire an alternative to the traditional high school setting
