Community Education is harnessing the talents of CUSD staff and outside vendors in a joint effort to offer the community discovery opportunities ranging in topics from Health and Wellness to Arts and Crafts ... and everything in between! Classes will take place after school hours, as well as during intersessions and summer breaks. While this extensive project is in progress, please continue to visit this website as we anticipate pilot offerings to open in March, and our first full course catalog to be online in June.

I-9 Sports - Flag Football & Introductory Cheerleading
Flag Football will be offered with an emphasis on fun, organization, safety, good sportsmanship and equal playing time for boys and girls ages 4-13. Games are played on Saturday mornings with practices one hour before game time.
Introductory Cheerleading will be offered with an emphasis on learning new cheer routines, stretching, and having fun. Girls are taught by paid cheer instructors and cheer routines are performed in front of family and friends at our flag football games for girls ages 4-13. Practices and Performances are performed on Saturday mornings.

Princeton Review - Test Prep Courses
The Princeton Review is pleased to announce that for the second year in a row, we will be offering the students of the Chandler Unified School District our Premier SAT and ACT test preparation courses. This is an approved district partnership. Last year, we helped over 40 CUSD students get the scores they needed on their SAT! Our ACT and SAT courses come with twenty-four hours of instruction, three in class full-length proctored diagnostic tests, live essay grading system, unlimited free extra help a multitude of online resources including additional practice tests and drills and a satisfaction guarantee. All Star - Driver's Education Courses
When classes get boring, students stop learning. So the folks at All Star are committed to incorporating fun into the curriculum. Hands-on experiences provide the opportunity for better knowledge, retention and comprehension.
All Star brings in guest speakers to present information on car maintenance, repairs, and changing a tire. Police officers answer the tough questions, and All Star is proud to include a person who speaks from the heart about losing their son to a drunk driver. Students leave class knowing the danger of using alcohol and drugs, as well as the legal and personal consequences.
Classroom sessions cover Arizona state traffic laws, roadway signs and markings that relate to the safe operation of a motor vehicle. Attitude and responsibility are a part of the classroom and behind the wheel instruction. Safety is stressed throughout the course.

The second annual Mike Desper Basketball Challenge will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2009. C.U.S.D. boys and girls in 4th-12th grade will have an opportunity to show off their basketball skills. For more information, please read our flyer.
