Chandler's preschool programs are designed to meet the individual needs of each child. Our preschool curriculum is aligned to the Arizona Early Learning Standards, which were developed for all children 3-5 years of age. The standards serve as a guide in providing a quality program that is developmentally appropriate for your child.
Our goal is to prepare children to enter kindergarten with a healthy self-concept and a positive attitude toward school and learning. The preschool curriculum is developmental and hands-on with a strong emphasis on language development. Concepts will be learned through play, games, songs, movement and other multi-sensory activities.
We have expanded our district preschool programs, offering a two, three, or five day program for children who turn 4 years of age by December 31st of the current school year. Classes are offered mornings or afternoons and are scheduled for two and one half hours per day. These preschool programs follow the district-wide calendar. Registration/Eligibility
Please review our program offerings to determine the program and location of your choice. Students should be potty trained prior to enrolling. To register a child in one of the Chandler preschool programs, parents must bring the following to the school where you would like to enroll your child:
- State Certified Birth Certificate (students must be 4 years of age by December 31, 2008)
- Immunization Record
- Proof of Address (i.e., a recent utility bill)
Once you have submitted registration documents to the Registrar, you will be assisted in setting up your child's payment account. Class schedules and other important information will be provided at the time of registration.
If you decide to change the current preschool program you registered your child for, you will need to complete a Program Change Request form and submit to the registrar at your school.
